Softball Recap: Foard Takes a Loss

Foard came into this matchup off a tough seven-run loss on Tuesday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Elyria Pioneers by a score of 7-5 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Tigers have suffered since March 13th.

This is the second loss in a row for Foard and nudges their season record down to 10-7. Sadly, the team can't blame their woes on tough opposition, as that stretch included 5-11 Elyria and 9-10 St. Stephens. As for Elyria, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-11.

Foard didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, an 8-1 loss against Bunker Hill on the 23rd. As for Elyria, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, an 8-0 defeat against St. Stephens on the 23rd.
