He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double. That's the most hits he has posted since back in February.
In other batting news, AJ Putetti was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one double. That triple marked the first that he hit this season. Maykol Bonito was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
Meanwhile, Keys Gate got the win against Archbishop Carroll on Tuesday by a conclusive 9-3.
Keys Gate also got a great performance from Jaime Osorio as he struck out 12 batters over 6.2 innings while giving up three earned runs off eight hits (and not a single walk).
At the plate, Keys Gate's victory was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Jose Bermudez, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
Coral Shores' record is now 18-3-1. As for Keys Gate, their record now sits at 8-13.
Keys Gate's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Coral Shores has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .473.
