Football Recap: Dos Palos Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Dos Palos can now relate to. They were beaten by the McLane Highlanders 46-7 on Friday. The Broncos were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 23-0.

Leading McLane to victory were Vernon Lacy and Dimareea Banks. Lacy threw for 214 yards and four TDs on only 19 passes, while Banks gained 155 total yards and two touchdowns. What's more, Lacy racked up 45 rushing yards, the most he's had since back in September. Kamani Harris was Lacy's top target, picking up 60 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Dos Palos' loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-5. As for McLane, their victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-0.

Dos Palos does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for McLane, they will take on Immanuel at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles' defense has only allowed 5.5 points per game this season, so the Highlanders' offense will have their work cut out for them.
