Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mineola). Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Brownsboro Bears an 11-0 shutout on Tuesday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Yellowjackets considering their one-run performance the match before.

Jadelyn Marshall was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the fewest hits she has allowed since back in April of 2024. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Journie Wilson, who fired off two home runs and four RBI while going 3-for-4. What's more, she posted two runs, the most she's had since back in May of 2024. Kali Chrietzberg was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

Mineola kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

The victory made it two in a row for Mineola and bumps their season record up to 3-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.0 runs over those games. As for Brownsboro, they now have a losing record of 2-3-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mineola will challenge Eustace at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Brownsboro, they will square off against Canton at 6:30 p.m. on March 4th.
