Baseball Game Preview: Arroyo Grande Eagles vs. Lompoc Braves

For the second straight game, Arroyo Grande will face off against Lompoc. The Eagles will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Braves at 4:30 p.m.

Arroyo Grande came out on top against Lompoc on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run fifth inning. The Eagles took their game against the Braves 6-3. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.

Arroyo Grande got a big performance out of Tane Kurth, who went 2-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run. Those two doubles gave Kurth a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Judah Hill, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Arroyo Grande kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are 3-1 when they post 11 or more hits.

Arroyo Grande's win bumped their record up to 12-14-1. As for Lompoc, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-11 record this season.
