Football Recap: Marion County Eagles vs. Crawford County Eagles
Marion County extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to eight on Friday, dropping them down to 0-7. They came up short against Crawford County, falling 41-20. Marion County was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Crawford County apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.
As for Crawford County, they now have a winning record of 4-3. The result was nothing new for Crawford County, who have now won four contests by 21 points or more so far this season.
Charles Anderson was his usual excellent self, rushing for 105 yards and two scores, while also picking up 59 receiving yards and one TD. He was no stranger to the big play, cutting upfield on a catch that went for 59 yards.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. After both having extra time off, Marion County and Macon County will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:30 p.m. on the 17th. As for Crawford County, they will square off against Atkinson County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles will need to watch out since the Rebels have now posted at least 31 points in their last three games.
