Basketball Game Preview: Johnson/Washington Tech Governors vs. Hope Academy

The Johnson/Washington Tech Governors will square off against Hope Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.

Hope Academy will be up against a hot Johnson/Washington Tech squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. Johnson/Washington Tech simply couldn't be stopped on Saturday as they easily beat Edison 65-22. The Governors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 contests by 27 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hope Academy). They breezed by Hmong Academy to the tune of 79-6 on Thursday. The win was some much needed relief for Hope Academy as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Johnson/Washington Tech's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-5. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 20.8 points per game. As for Hope Academy, their win ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-10.
