Softball Recap: Moses Brown Quakers vs. Pilgrim Patriots
Moses Brown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 9-8 heartbreaker at the hands of the Pilgrim Patriots. The Quakers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Patriots from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.
Elodie Cannon and Ava Lourenco stepped up to the plate in a big way. Cannon scored two runs while going 3-for-4, while Lourenco scored three runs while going 3-for-5. Another player making a difference was Coco Medeiros, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.
Moses Brown's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Pilgrim, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 4-0.
Moses Brown will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Ponaganset at 4:30 p.m. on the 21st.
