Football Recap: Miller Takes a Loss

Miller extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to five on Friday, dropping them down to 0-4. They had to suffer through a 56-19 loss at the hands of the Cuero Gobblers. The Buccaneers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Gobblers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

As for Cuero, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Cuero had a senior duo take command as Jaxxon Marie threw for 126 yards and four touchdowns and Walker Dietze picked up 64 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Miller has already played their next matchup, a 35-20 loss against Sinton on the 26th. As for Cuero, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 50-43 victory against Belton on the 26th.
