Basketball Game Preview: Manor Mustangs vs. Vista Ridge Rangers

Manor hasn't had much luck against Vista Ridge recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Manor Mustangs will take on the Vista Ridge Rangers at 7:00 p.m.

Manor is headed into Tuesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their tenth straight game on Friday. They had to suffer through a 74-39 loss at the hands of Vandegrift. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 626th, while the Vipers are ranked 69th).

Meanwhile, you're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out for Vista Ridge on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that they blew Cedar Ridge out of the water with a 75-30 final score. The Rangers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 19 games by 20 points or more this season.

Vista Ridge is also on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 27-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.2 points per game. As for Manor, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-19.

Manor was dealt a bruising 83-38 loss at the hands of Vista Ridge in their previous meeting back in January. Can Manor avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
