Basketball Recap: Caldera's Winning Streak Snapped at Five Games

It was a good run, but Caldera unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell to the Summit Storm 48-42. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Caldera of the 48-41 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Caldera's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 12-7. As for Summit, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Caldera will square off against Redmond at 7:00 p.m. on February 7th. Redmond will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something Caldera surely won't give up without a fight. Summit has already played their next match (against Mountain View), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
