It's playoff time, and Valley Christian had no trouble coming through when it counted. They took their contest on Friday with ease, bagging a 47-18 win over the Sabino Sabercats. Winning may never get old, but the Trojans sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

It was another big night for Austin Schuder, who rushed for 44 yards and three touchdowns, and also threw for 250 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 85% of his passes. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in passer rating (158.3). Caleb Goldman was another major influence, as he rushed for 100 yards and ran in a TD.

Despite the defeat, Sabino had strong showings from Zachari Haley, who gained 211 total yards and two touchdowns, and Bodhi Sanford, who threw for 152 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Haley was no stranger to the big play, lighting up the secondary with a catch that went for 50 yards. Another big playmaker for Sabino was Javian Winton, who returned a punt for a touchdown.

Valley Christian's record is now 10-1. As for Sabino, they dropped their record down to 4-7 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Coming up, Valley Christian will look to defend their home field on Friday against Gilbert Christian at 7:00 p.m. The Trojans' defense better be ready for this one: the Knights have averaged an impressive 29.4 points per game this season. Sabino does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
