Volleyball Game Preview: Hillcrest Rams vs. Easley Green Wave + How To Watch

Hillcrest has gone 7-2 against Easley recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Rams will welcome the Green Wave at 7:00 p.m. Hillcrest will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

If J.L. Mann wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Hillcrest, they should've done a better job of containing Liz Jones. The Rams put the hurt on the Patriots with a sharp 3-0 victory on Tuesday thanks in part to Jones, who had five digs and four aces. She is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 13 or more in each of the last 17 games she's played.

One reason for the win was Hillcrest's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-16, 25-14.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Easley, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They came out on top against Mauldin by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday.

Easley got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 30-28, 25-16, 19-25, 25-23.

Hillcrest's win bumped their record up to 17-4. As for Easley, their victory bumped their record up to 14-12.

Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Thursday's contest: Hillcrest has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 7.3 aces per game. However, it's not like Easley struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.8 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.

Hillcrest skirted past Easley 3-2 in their previous meeting back in September. Do the Rams have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Green Wave turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
