Benjamin Russell's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Cederian Morgan, who picked up 137 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns. That's the most receiving yards Morgan has posted since back in August. Benjamin Russell also got a significant boost from Jyque Norris, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 93 yards.
Benjamin Russell's run defense was locked in: Percy Julian could only muster three yards per carry. The team can thank Caleb Kendrick for the heroic effort on defense: he. Benjamin Russell's ground attack was stronger, having averaged 5.2.
Special teams played a big role in the game for Benjamin Russell, adding 11 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Lajayvious Calhoun, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Central hadn't done well against Hueytown recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way two weeks ago. The Falcons enjoyed a cozy 37-21 win over the Golden Gophers. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Falcons.

One of the most notable was Armani White, who rushed for 63 yards and one TD on only five carries, and also threw for 152 yards and one touchdown on only 14 passes. Another player making a difference was Anthony Dixon, who gained 157 total yards and three touchdowns.
Central didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Jasiuah Rainer and Jaelon Bramlett. Rainer has been hot for a while, having also posted five or more total tackles the last 19 times he's played. He got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Friday's matchup might be decided on the ground. Benjamin Russell has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 172.7 rushing yards per game.
