Basketball Recap: Beau Chene Takes a Loss

Beau Chene lost against Crowley back in December of 2020 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Beau Chene Gators took a 58-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Crowley Gent. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Gators came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 64th, while the Gent are ranked 214th).

Beau Chene's defeat dropped their record down to 12-12. As for Crowley, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-11.

Beau Chene will be playing in front of their home fans against Livonia at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Crowley, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Opelousas Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Crowley knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Opelousas Catholic likes a good challenge.
