Volleyball Recap: Irvine Comes Up Short

Irvine was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Fullerton Indians. The Vaqueros were not able to make up for their defeat to the Indians from their previous meeting back in August of 2024.

Irvine's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Fullerton, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That lines up perfectly with their 15-5 record this season.

Irvine will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Portola at 5:00 p.m. on the 25th. As for Fullerton, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Costa Mesa on the 13th.
