Volleyball Recap: Cardinal Stritch Wins Going Away Against Rossford

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Danbury, Cardinal Stritch was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They put the hurt on the Rossford Bulldogs with a sharp 3-0 victory. The Cardinals were shut out 3-0 the last time they took on the Bulldogs, so the Cardinals were just returning the favor.

The final score came out to 25-18, 25-21, 25-17.

Olivia Ford paced Cardinal Stritch's offense, picking up 15 kills. Ford got some help from Hayden Mathena and her 26 assists. Ford was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

The win got Cardinal Stritch back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Cardinal Stritch will be playing in front of their home fans against Waite at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Rossford, they have already played their next game, a 3-1 defeat against Ottawa Hills on the 19th.
