Pacific Grove and Alisal are an even 3-3 against one another  since March of 2017, but likely not for long. The Breakers will be playing at home against the Trojans  at 4:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. The last three games Pacific Grove has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
Last Friday,  it was close, but  Pacific Grove sidestepped Everett Alvarez for  a  7-5 win. The  victory continues a trend for the Breakers in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won five in a row.
 Pacific Grove's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was  Issac Sanchez, who  got on base  in three of his four plate appearances with one  run and one  double. Another  was  Tyler Stutzman, who  went 1-for-3 with two  runs and one  RBI.
 Alisal couldn't beat North Salinas  on Saturday even though they stacked four runs on them in the fifth inning. The Trojans fell just short of the Vikings by a score of  5-4.
 Alisal's defeat dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Pacific Grove, their victory bumped their record up to 6-8.
 Pacific Grove came out on top in a nail-biter against Alisal in their previous meeting  back in March of 2024, sneaking past  5-4. Do  the Breakers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Trojans turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
