             The Old Plank Christian Academy Defenders will head out to  challenge the Mount Dora Christian Academy Bulldogs  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday.
 Things were looking good for Old Plank Christian Academy after they put the first points on the board on Friday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They came up short against  St. Joseph Academy, falling  34-14. The loss was the Defenders' first of the season.
 Despite the  loss, Old Plank Christian Academy got top-tier performance from   Troy Howell, who rushed for 136 yards and a touchdown while picking up 8.0 yards per carry, and also threw for 30 yards and a touchdown. Howell is  crushing it when it comes to  rushing yards: he's   rushed for at least 100 every time he's  taken the field this season.
 Even though they lost, Old Plank Christian Academy was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 217  rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  rushed for at least 217  rushing yards in three consecutive  games.
 Meanwhile, Mount Dora Christian Academy put another one in the bag  on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They took their  match on the road  with ease, bagging  a  45-0 victory over Gateway Charter. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won three matchups by 27  points or more  so far this season.
 Mount Dora Christian Academy found their leader in underclassman  Issac Farling, who rushed for 123 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries. Those 123  rushing yards set a new season-high mark for him.  Noah Slegers did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 125  receiving yards.
 Having lost for the first time  this season, Old Plank Christian Academy  fell to 2-1. As for Mount Dora Christian Academy, their win bumped their record up to 4-0.
