The Delavan-Darien Comets will head out to challenge the Jefferson Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Delavan-Darien has now lost seven straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since the 5th.

On Friday, Delavan-Darien came up short against Williams Bay and fell 9-5.

Meanwhile, Jefferson owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Monday. They put the hurt on East Troy with a sharp 8-0 victory. Considering the Eagles have won six games by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Ashlyn Enke was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out 16 over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in May of 2024.

Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Delavan-Darien, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-9.
