Basketball Recap: Timberland Skates Past Andrews with Ease

Timberland won the last time they faced Andrews and things went their way on Friday too. The Timberland Wolves claimed a resounding 51-19 win over the Andrews Yellowjackets. That looming 51-19 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Wolves yet this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Timberland to victory, but perhaps none more so than Zion Prioleau, who posted 18 points in addition to eight steals and five rebounds. With that strong performance, Prioleau is now averaging an impressive 2.2 steals per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Kennahdi Murrell, who went 5 of 12 on her way to 10 points along with eight steals and seven assists.

Timberland was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in January of 2024.

The victory (which was Timberland's fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-8. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 23.3 points per game. As for Andrews, their loss was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-15.

Coincidentally, Timberland and Andrews will both be playing Philip Simmons the next time they take the court. Timberland will host Philip Simmons at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, while Andrews will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
