Soccer Recap: West Brunswick Comes Up Short

West Brunswick lost against Ashley on October 2nd and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Trojans came up short against the Screaming Eagle, falling 6-0. While losing is never fun, West Brunswick can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 200th, while Ashley are ranked 20th).

West Brunswick now has a losing record of 8-9-1. As for Ashley, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-3-3 record this season.

West Brunswick didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Topsail on the 27th. As for Ashley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next match, a 2-1 win against New Hanover on the 27th.
