Softball Game Preview: Swain County Maroon Devils vs. Rosman Tigers

The Swain County Maroon Devils will face off against the Rosman Tigers at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither Swain County nor Rosman posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

Monday just wasn't the day for Swain County's offense. They fell 5-0 to Robbinsville on Monday.

Meanwhile, Rosman was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 13-1 to Owen. The match marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Rosman saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rebecca Queen, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one run.

Swain County's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-5. As for Rosman, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-10.

Swain County took their victory against Rosman in their previous meeting back in March by a conclusive 13-2 score. Will the Maroon Devils repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
