Soccer Recap: Hays Comes Up Short

Hays was the 2-1 winner over Newton when they last played one another back in March of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Indians fell just short of the Railroaders by a score of 2-1 on Friday.

Hays' goal came courtesy of Kinslee Newell, who's now up to four this season.

Hays' defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Newton, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-3-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hays will face off against Dodge City at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Newton, they will square off against Kapaun Mt. Carmel on Thursday.
