Football Game Preview: Citrus Valley Blackhawks vs. Shadow Ridge Mustangs + How To Watch

The Citrus Valley Blackhawks will take on the Shadow Ridge Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Citrus Valley has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the matchup with five straight losses, while Shadow Ridge will come in with four straight wins.

Citrus Valley is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They were outmatched by Norco and fell 52-21. While losing is never fun, the Blackhawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 170th, while the Cougars are ranked 50th).

Although Citrus Valley took the loss, they still got scores from Kameron Garcia, Dominic Robles, and Adam Sanchez.

Meanwhile, Shadow Ridge didn't have too much trouble with Mojave on Friday as they won 28-14.

Shadow Ridge's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Citrus Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.

Citrus Valley was dealt a bruising 48-21 loss at the hands of Shadow Ridge in their previous matchup back in September of 2024. Thankfully for the Blackhawks, Tyrell Craven (who rushed for 205 yards and five touchdowns on only nine carries, and also picked up 34 receiving yards) won't be suiting up this time.
