Football Recap: Stranahan Comes Up Short

Stranahan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Central Rockets, falling 59-6. The Mighty Dragons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Rockets apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Stranahan's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Central, they pushed their record up to 5-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Coming up, Stranahan will challenge Boyd Anderson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Mighty Dragons will be up against the Cobras' rather soft defense (which has allowed 49.83 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Central, they will face off against Southridge at 7:00 p.m. on the 18th. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Rockets 13.8, the Spartans 13.5) so any points scored will be well earned.
