Softball Game Preview: West Valley Eagles vs. East Valley Knights

An exciting East v. West battle is about to be fought. The West Valley Eagles are taking a road trip to take on the East Valley Knights at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their matches after big wins in their previous games.

East Valley will face off against a team with plenty of momentum: West Valley extended their winning streak to three on Wednesday. The Eagles blew past Rogers 21-6. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won three contests by ten runs or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, East Valley got the win against Rogers on Tuesday by a conclusive 13-3. The Knights are also no stranger to big wins: their blowout was the fourth game they've won by 6+ runs this season.

East Valley has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 21.0 runs over those games. As for West Valley, their win bumped their record up to 3-5.

Everything went West Valley's way against East Valley in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as West Valley made off with a 17-11 victory. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Knights turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
