Basketball Recap: Wasco Tigers vs. Shafter Generals

Wasco was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Shafter Generals and fell 72-39. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Generals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 57-23 back in January.

Wasco lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Hugo Marin, who posted 12 points and seven boards. Elijah Lopez was another key player, putting up ten points.

Adin Cardenas continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Shafter, going 7-for-16 to rack up 20 points in addition to six steals and five assists. That's the most assists Cardenas has posted since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Hector Cruz, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and ten rebounds.

Wasco's loss dropped their record down to 4-16. As for Shafter, their win bumped their record up to 8-12.

As of now, neither Wasco nor Shafter have any future games scheduled.
