Thayer Academy and St. George are an even 3-3 against one another since October of 2015, but not for long. The Tigers will be playing at home against the Dragons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Things were looking good for Thayer Academy after they put the first points on the board on Saturday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They took a 27-21 hit to the loss column at the hands of Greenwich Country Day. Thayer Academy was up 21-7 in the third quarter but couldn't hold on to the lead.

Despite the loss, Thayer Academy got top-tier performance from Drew St.Pierre, who rushed for 147 yards on only 13 carries. St.Pierre's longest rush was for an impressive 56 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.

Meanwhile, St. George's was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 20-14 heartbreaker at the hands of Portsmouth Abbey.

Thayer Academy now has a losing record of 1-2. As for St. George's, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.

Thayer Academy took a serious blow against St. George's in their previous matchup back in October of 2021, falling 34-6. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Tigers were down 21-0.
