Volleyball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Stuart

Stuart came tearing into Thursday's match with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Chambers/Wheeler Central Renegades by a score of 2-0. The Broncos have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Renegades, too.

Stuart easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-10.

Paityn Sheffield paced Stuart's offense, picking up nine kills. Sheffield got some help from Kyra Tubbs and her 13 assists. Finally, Sheffield was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high three blocks.

Stuart's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Chambers/Wheeler Central, they dropped their record down to 0-2 with the defeat, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coincidentally, Stuart and Chambers/Wheeler Central will both be playing Elgin/Pope John the next time they take the court. The Broncos will head out to face the Wolfpack at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Renegades will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
