Basketball Game Preview: Northland Prep Academy Spartans vs. Kingman Academy Tigers

The Northland Prep Academy Spartans and the Kingman Academy Tigers will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday without much rest having both just played. Northland Prep Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven matches -- so hopefully Kingman Academy likes a good challenge.

On Tuesday, Northland Prep Academy strolled past Pinon with points to spare, taking the game 65-50.

Northland Prep Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jaden Joiner out in front who went 6 for 13 en route to 15 points and six steals. Those six steals gave Joiner a new career-high. Ian Karren was another key player, putting up 11 points and five steals.

Meanwhile, Kingman Academy came tearing into Tuesday's game with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.5 points) and they left with even more momentum. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 68-33 win over the Lions.

Kingman Academy's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-6. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.8 points per game. As for Northland Prep Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season.

Northland Prep Academy beat Kingman Academy 57-44 in their previous matchup back in December of 2021. Will Northland Prep Academy repeat their success, or does Kingman Academy have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
