Basketball Recap: Mount Airy Granite Bears vs. North Surry Greyhounds
Mount Airy lost against North Surry last Wednesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Mount Airy Granite Bears fell just short of the North Surry Greyhounds by a score of 54-51. While losing is never fun, the Granite Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 376th, while the Greyhounds are ranked 136th).

Mount Airy lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Taeshon Martin, who posted 13 points in addition to seven rebounds and six assists. He is also on a roll when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Ethan Clabo, who went 6-for-15 en route to 14 points and six boards.
