Soccer Game Preview: Southridge vs. Kennewick

The Southridge Suns will venture away from home to challenge the Kennewick Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Southridge managed to keep up with Pasco until halftime on Thursday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Southridge came up short against Pasco, falling 3-0. The loss continues a trend for Southridge in their meetings with Pasco: they've now lost four in a row.

Meanwhile, Kennewick hadn't done well against Hermiston recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. Kennewick's defense stepped up to hand Hermiston a 2-0 shutout. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but Kennewick were the better team in the second half.

Kennewick now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Southridge, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Southridge couldn't quite get it done against Kennewick in their previous matchup last Thursday as they fell 2-0. Can Southridge avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
