Basketball Recap: 13 Straight Road Victories for Negaunee

Negaunee put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against the Calumet Copper Kings as the Negaunee Miners made off with a 56-35 win. The Miners have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Copper Kings, too.

Negaunee's victory was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-0. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.4 points per game. As for Calumet, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Negaunee will venture away from home to square off against Westwood at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Calumet will take on L'Anse in a holiday battle at at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
