Basketball Recap: Hayfield Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

If Annandale wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Hayfield, they should've done a better job of containing Landon Judy. The Hayfield Hawks blew past the Annandale Atoms 62-38 on Thursday thanks in part to Judy, who went 6 for 9 from beyond the arc en route to 24 points and five boards. Those 24 points gave him a new career-high.

Parker Cage was another key player, putting up three points and three steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played.

The win was the fourth in a row for Hayfield, bringing their record for this year to 8-3. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 37.2 points. As for Annandale, their defeat was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-6.

Hayfield has already played their next matchup, a 77-48 victory against Mount Vernon on the 17th. As for Annandale, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 69-52 loss against Edison on the 17th.
