Soccer Recap: Newton Plays to a Tie

For the first time this season, Newton was forced to settle for a draw. They and the Colfax-Mingo Tigerhawks finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw on Saturday.

With that draw, Newton's record moves to 4-5-1. Meanwhile, Colfax-Mingo's record is now 6-0-3.

Coincidentally, Newton and Colfax-Mingo will both be playing Benton the next time they take the pitch. The Tigerhawks will head out to face the Bobcats at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, while the Cardinals will play them later in the day, at 12:00 p.m.
