Indian Springs is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Pahranagat Valley a 10-0 shutout. The win was familiar territory for the Thunderbirds, who have now won five matches in a row.

Adam Groeblinghoff was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out nine over six innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April of 2024. He was also big at the plate, going 4-for-5 with two triples, two runs, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Jacob Gourley was a standout: he went 2-for-4 with five stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last six games he's played. Logen Blood was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double.
Meanwhile, Liberty Baptist Academy entered their tilt with Tonopah on Thursday with 12 consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with 13. They blew past the Muckers 10-0.
The team relied heavily on Aiden Schmitz, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with three stolen bases and three runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryce Miano, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.
Indian Springs pushed their record up to 18-5 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs on average over those games. As for Liberty Baptist Academy, their record is now 18-4.
Friday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Indian Springs has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .583. However, it's not like Liberty Baptist Academy struggles in that department as they've averaged .555.
