Volleyball Game Preview: Oran Eagles vs. Meadow Heights Panthers

The Oran Eagles will square off against the Meadow Heights Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing isn't great for Oran: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while Meadow Heights has snatched up three consecutive wins on the road.

On Wednesday, Oran didn't have quite enough to beat Sikeston and fell 3-2. While the Eagles didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Bulldogs 25-20 in the first set.

Oran started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 20-25, 20-25, 25-20, 25-16, 15-6.

Meanwhile, Meadow Heights came up short against St. Vincent on Wednesday and fell 3-1. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Indians recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 24-26, 25-13, 25-16.

Meadow Heights' defeat dropped their record down to 18-7. As for Oran, their loss dropped their record down to 4-12.
