Basketball Recap: Tyro Christian Comes Up Short

After flying high against Chanute Christian last Tuesday, Tyro Christian came back down to earth. The Tyro Christian Eagles might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the Southern Coffey County Titans an easy 47-23 win.

Karley Ohl continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Southern Coffey County, dropping a double-double on 26 points and 13 rebounds. That makes it five consecutive games in which Ohl has scored at least a third of Southern Coffey County's points. Another player making a difference was Emily Ludolph, who went 6 of 14 en route to 13 points and six rebounds.

Tyro Christian's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Southern Coffey County, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-3.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Oswego the next time they take the court. Southern Coffey County will head out to face Oswego at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Tyro Christian will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on January 14, 2025.
