Basketball Game Preview: Millington Cardinals vs. Ithaca Yellowjackets

The Millington Cardinals will square off against the Ithaca Yellowjackets at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Millington has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Millington took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They managed a 35-30 win over Ubly. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Cardinals as it put an end to their seven-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Ithaca had to suffer through a 77-36 loss at the hands of Reed City.

Ithaca has also been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-14 record this season. Millington's win bumped their record up to 5-16.

Millington strolled past Ithaca when the teams last played back in February of 2024 by a score of 52-33. The rematch might be a little tougher for Millington since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
