Baseball Game Preview: Carrabec Cobras vs. Telstar Rebels

The Carrabec Cobras will square off against the Telstar Rebels at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Carrabec has given up an average of 8.4 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Carrabec couldn't beat Valley on Thursday even though they stacked four runs on them in the first inning. The Cobras lost 14-4 to the Cavaliers. While the Cobras didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Cavaliers 4-0 in the first period.

Meanwhile, Telstar got themselves on the board against Forest Hills on Thursday, but Forest Hills never followed suit. They were the clear victors by an 11-0 margin over the Tigers. The Rebels haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

The result came thanks to Brennan Walker's shutout, as he gave up just a hit and racked up 15 Ks.

On the hitting side, Michael Early was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryson Walker, who went 3-for-5 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Telstar's win bumped their record up to 4-1-1. As for Carrabec, their loss dropped their record down to 2-7.
