It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Battle Mountain had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the George Washington Patriots with a sharp 3-0 win. Considering Battle Mountain have won eight matches by more than two goals this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Carlos Ventura and Jakob Methvin scored all three of Battle Mountain's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 43 goals.

The victory made it two in a row for Battle Mountain and bumps their season record up to 11-4-2. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored eight goals over those two matchups. As for George Washington, they moved to 9-7-1 with that loss, which also ended their six-match winning streak.
