Basketball Recap: Rockdale County Bulldogs vs. Morrow Mustangs
The Rockdale County Bulldogs had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 29 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They secured a 59-53 W over Morrow. For Rockdale County, this counts as revenge for the 44-41 defeat the Mustangs walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2023.
It was another big night for Tre?Miyah Berry, who scored 17 points. She is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 16 or more in the last five games she's played. Another player making a difference was McKenzie Moore, who scored 11 points.
Rockdale County has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season. As for Morrow, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-7.
Rockdale County won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against the Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on January 31st. Forest Park has now lost 11 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 9. As for Morrow, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Cardinals at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Jonesboro focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Tuesday.
