Basketball Game Preview: Springfield Wildcats vs. Beavercreek Beavers

The Springfield Wildcats are taking a road trip to take on the Beavercreek Beavers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Springfield is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.

Last Tuesday, Springfield ended up a good deal behind Fairmont and lost 67-53.

Meanwhile, Beavercreek suffered their biggest loss since January 7th on Wednesday. They lost 72-52 to Centerville. While losing is never fun, the Beavers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 226th, while the Elks are ranked 68th).

Beavercreek has also been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record this season. As for Springfield, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-12.

Springfield came up short against Beavercreek in their previous meeting back in January, falling 63-53. Can Springfield avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
