Football Recap: Thousand Oaks Beats Santa Barbara for Their Third Straight Victory + How To Watch

Thousand Oaks had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They strolled past the Santa Barbara Dons with points to spare, taking the game 35-20. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Lancers also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2024.

Thousand Oaks' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jackson Taylor, who threw for 212 yards and three TDs while completing 84.2% of his passes, and also rushed for 47 yards. Those 47 rushing yards gave Taylor a new career-high. Jordan Johnson was in the mix as well, providing Thousand Oaks with two touchdowns.

Thousand Oaks' victory bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Santa Barbara, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season.

Thousand Oaks didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 50-34 defeat against Rio Hondo Prep on the 7th. Santa Barbara does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
