Flag Football Recap: Dynamic Duo of Lacey Mortensen and Victoria Correa Lead El Dorado to Victory + How To Watch

There's no place like home for El Dorado, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. They walked away with a 13-6 victory over the Troy Warriors on Monday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 13-6 back in September.

A big part of El Dorado's win came down to the chemistry between Victoria Correa and her top target Lacey Mortensen. Correa threw for 132 yards and two touchdowns while Mortensen picked up 30 receiving yards and one TD. What's more, Correa racked up 102.1 passer rating, the most she's had since back in August.

El Dorado didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Paulina Romano and Allyson DeBest.

The victory snapped El Dorado's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 8-12 record. As for Troy, they are on a 14-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-14.

Coincidentally, El Dorado and Troy will both be playing Villa Park the next time they take the field. The Golden Hawks will head out to face the Spartans at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Warriors will host them at 3:15 p.m. on the 14th.
