Preview: Maranatha Christian vs. Clairemont
On Friday, Maranatha Christian are packing up and heading on the road for the first time this season. They face off against Clairemont at 7:00 PM. It might come down to the wire as the game is expected to be close.
It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Maranatha Christian ultimately got the result it was hoping for last Friday. They snuck past Crawford with a 26-20 win.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 6-56, which was the final score in Clairemont's tilt against Francis Parker last week. Clairemont were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 6-42.
Maranatha Christian's victory lifted them to 1-1 while Clairemont's loss dropped them down to 0-2. Clairemont's offensive line will need to gear up for a tough test against a Maranatha Christian defensive front that amassed 3 sacks against Crawford, so we'll see if they are up to the task.
