Delaware Christian lost to Genoa Christian Academy back in February of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Monday. The Delaware Christian Eagles snuck past Genoa Christian Academy with a 41-37 victory.

Despite the loss, Genoa Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jackson Kirura dropped a double-double with 24 points and ten rebounds. Kirura continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Evan Allgood, who posted nine points and six boards.

Delaware Christian's win bumped their record up to 9-12. As for Genoa Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-4.

The future could be bright for both Delaware Christian and Genoa Christian Academy: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. Delaware Christian will try to hand Fairfield Christian Academy their eighth-straight loss when the two meet at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Genoa Christian Academy will look to extend Columbus Torah Academy's five-game losing streak when the meet at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
