Northmont had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They put the hurt on the Tecumseh Arrows with a sharp 9-2 victory on Tuesday. Northmont have beaten Tecumseh the last seven times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest Tecumseh has come to flipping the script.

Northmont's offense was hitting Tecumseh from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Chris Powell led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for four goals all by himself.

Tecumseh's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Looking ahead, Northmont will head out on the road to face off against Chaminade Julienne Catholic at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Tecumseh, they will be playing at home against Bellefontaine at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The match will give Tecumseh their first taste of in-conference action this season.
