Baseball Recap: Truman Gets the Win

Three must be Truman's lucky number: they beat St. Elizabeth with that score not once but twice on Friday. The Patriots sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Hornets. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Patriots have posted since April 2nd.

The victory made it two in a row for Truman and bumps their season record up to 11-11. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 2 run in those games. As for St. Elizabeth, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-7.

Truman wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 15-2 victory against Chrisman on the 21st. As for St. Elizabeth, they have also already played their next match, a 7-4 win against Battle on the 19th.
